Pal to Poet

A dear friend of mine introduced me to this poet a little over a year ago and I had no idea just how much of an impact her small act of sharing would have on me.  Reading Rupi Kaur's book, Milk and Honey, made me fall back in love with poetry for the first time since I was a teenager.  Her words brought me home to myself and reminded me of the poet living inside my heart.

Rupi uses so few words to pack a big punch that you wonder what just hit you in the gut. Her messages of healing melt over you like warm honey and help you believe it all will be okay. Just like most books, it's not for everyone.  But it has had a profound impact on me and for that, I wanted to share with you one of my favorites.

What if we could turn envy into happiness and celebration? What burden would that release from you?
